Hello, welcome to my website.

About Eri

My music reflects my moods and experiences from a young age, starting in Chiba, Japan where I was born. My early years were joyful; we lived beside a forest surrounded by rice fields where my siblings and I would play in nature. My Japanese dad and Filipino mom wanted us to experience living abroad, so when I was five, we moved to the west coast of Canada, in Richmond. Since I had started piano in Japan, it was comforting to continue playing piano after moving to Canada, amidst all of the changes with immigrating. The immigration came with stresses at home, so much so that the piano became a soothing escape from a growingly turbulent home life, but in return, gave me more freedom, a curiosity to explore outside of home, and come back home to the piano. Thinking back to those days, these experiences built a need for me to make music that was soothing, expressive, and soulful. Today, my music leans into the genres of contemporary piano, soul, folk and pop-ballads.
